Major CAMA Permit Submission
Below are the current documents I've been able to complete and pull together based on the comments from Mr. Corbett representing CAMA.
Permit [1] Excavation Attachment Deed
Riparian Letter
All property owners bordering the marina, addresses 101, 103, 105, 107 and 109 should complete the Riparian letter indicating their position on the dredging as it will affect their properties.

Preliminary Permit Submission with Comments From CAMA
I submitted a preliminary Permit to Mr. Corbett and he corrected it for me. Below is a copy of his corrections. I suppose I could have at least gotten the State right but hey I tried. I took what corrections I could address and gathered the documents I could (the deed) and the documents above reflect that.
Corrected Preliminary Permit Submission
Request
Mr. Corbett,
Since I moved in the canal that connects us to the marina has been filling with sediment and since last year we boats have been running aground in the canal though they successfully navigate through the connected Currituck Sound. To maintain the original purpose of permits GP28676A, GP46484A and GPA58984 we'd like to dredge the canal to the depth of the connected water.
PERMITS
- Permit for Marina 2001
- Bulkhead permits 2007 2012 CAMA Dredge and Fill permits for bulkheading marina and canal. Permit 46484A issued January 4, 2007 to Wesley Flannagan and permit A58984 issued February 3, 2012 to Stanford W. Flannagan. Permits to build bulkheads.
Exemption
According to Permit Exemptions
Maintenance and Expansion – The Coastal Resources Commission exempts the maintenance and expansion of certain projects that have state easements and/or state Dredge-and-Fill permits. These projects qualify for the exemption if: the dimensions don't exceed 20 percent of the dimensions originally permitted; the project's purpose or primary use does not change; the maintenance or expansion will not damage the natural environment and/or adjacent property owners.
we should be able to go ahead and dredge the canal against the existing permits we have without requiring a new one.
Can you grant this exemption? --Johnny 11:49, 17 June 2020 (EDT)
